GoBattle.io Code of Conduct
Welcome to the GoBattle.io community! We want every player to have a fun, fair and safe experience. This Code of Conduct explains the behavior we expect from everyone. It is part of our Terms of Service; if the two ever conflict, the Terms of Service control.
Where these rules apply. These rules apply in the game, in chat, and in our official community channels, such as our Discord server, forums and social media accounts. We may also act on conduct anywhere else that targets or harms players, our staff or moderators, or the game.
Rule 1 – Respect other players
Treat everyone with respect. You may not:
- Harass or bully other players, including targeting them for their age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, race, ethnicity, disability or any other personal characteristic.
- Use hate speech, including slurs or derogatory comments about anyone's race, ethnicity, culture, religion or identity.
- Use offensive language or make sexual, insulting or inappropriate comments about other players.
- Troll, taunt, belittle or mock players, or deliberately try to upset them.
Rule 2 – Keep everyone safe
- No sexual content of any kind.
- Zero tolerance for anything that sexualizes or targets minors, including grooming, asking a player for photos, personal details or private contact, or trying to move a conversation off GoBattle.io for that purpose. This results in an immediate permanent ban, and we report it to the appropriate authorities.
- No threats of violence or real-world harm, and no encouraging anyone to harm themselves.
If someone makes you uncomfortable or talks about hurting themselves or others, report it right away.
Rule 3 – Protect personal information
- No doxxing. Never share another person's real name, address, phone number, school, photos or other personal information.
- Protect your own information. Don't share your personal details in chat or in your username.
- Never share your password or login details with anyone. GoBattle.io staff will never ask for your password.
Rule 4 – Play fair
- No cheating: no hacks, cheat tools, modified clients, macros, bots, or third-party software that interacts with the game.
- No AI agents or other automated systems that play, farm, trade or chat for you.
- No exploiting bugs, glitches or unintended mechanics, whether or not it gives you an advantage, and no duplicating items.
- Report bugs and exploits to support, and don't share them with other players.
Assistive tools used for accessibility are allowed if they don't give a gameplay advantage.
Rule 5 – No hacking or attacks
Don't attempt to hack the game, access other accounts or our systems, steal personal information, overload our servers, or trick or bypass our moderation and anti-cheat systems. If you find a security problem, follow the "Security research" rules in Section 8 of the Terms of Service and report it privately.
Rule 6 – No scams, account trading or real-money trading
- No scams: no tricking players into giving away items, diamonds, accounts or money, no phishing, and no deceptive trades or false promises.
- No buying, selling, sharing or giving away accounts.
- No real-money trading: no buying or selling diamonds, items or accounts for money or anything outside the game.
- No selling or advertising cheats, boosting, account-leveling or similar services.
- No knowingly receiving or passing on stolen items.
Rule 7 – No impersonation
Don't pretend to be a developer, moderator, famous streamer or anyone else associated with GoBattle.io, through your username, avatar, messages or any other means.
Rule 8 – No spam or advertising
Don't flood chat, repeat messages, or advertise other games, websites, servers or services.
Rule 9 – No ban evasion
If you are muted, suspended or banned, don't come back on another account, borrow someone else's account, or use other tricks to get around it. Ban evasion can lead to a permanent ban of all the accounts involved.
Rule 10 – Report violations
Please report rule breaking through the in-game report tools or support. You will not be penalized merely because a report made honestly and in good faith turns out to be unsubstantiated or mistaken. Knowingly false reports, fabricated evidence, and deliberate abuse of the reporting or appeals systems may result in proportionate enforcement.
How we enforce these rules
Our moderators and our automated systems, including AI-based chat moderation and anti-cheat, enforce this Code. We decide the right action based on how serious the violation is, its context, and the player's history.
Serious violations can lead to an immediate permanent ban, without any earlier warning or strike. These include cheating, hacking, scams, account theft, real-money trading, selling cheats, threats, anything that sexualizes or targets minors, and ban evasion.
Strike guideline. For other violations, moderators generally follow this schedule, but may skip or repeat steps depending on the situation:
| Strike | Action | Strike expires after |
|---|---|---|
| First | Warning (shown while playing and in chat when you join) | 7 days |
| Second | Chat mute for one week | 14 days |
| Third | Ban for one week (all servers) | 28 days |
| Fourth | Permanent ban | — |
Automated chat moderation. Our automated system can warn you or mute you from chat. Repeated violations lead to longer mutes, from one hour up to seven days. Very serious messages can lead to an immediate longer mute and review by a moderator. Violations count for less over time if you stop breaking the rules.
Other actions. We may also restrict trading or other features, remove or change usernames, reverse trades, remove items obtained through rule breaking, and apply actions to other accounts controlled by the same person.
Appeals
- Automated mutes: you can appeal each automated mute once, from inside the game.
- Other actions: contact support with your account ID, the action you want reviewed, and any relevant information. Don't send your password or payment details.
More details are in Section 12 of the Terms of Service.
Moderators
Moderators enforce these rules under our moderation policies, which also set when they can grant or restore items, for example during events. Promises made outside those policies, such as refunds or special exceptions, aren't binding on us. If you think a moderator has acted unfairly, report it to support.
